Last updated: December 19, 2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to www.runseekadventures.com (the “Site”). The Site is owned and operated by Runseek, LLC (“Runseek,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Site and your participation in any Runseek event or travel experience (“Event”).
By registering for an Event or using the Site, you (“you,” “Participant”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not register or use the Site.
2. Definitions

-
“Event” – any race, run, adventure, or travel experience organized by Runseek, including optional activities or excursions.
-
“Participation Fee” – the total fee paid to register for an Event.
-
“Departure Date” – the date the Event begins for cancellation and credit purposes, as specified in the applicable Event registration materials.
-
“Materials” – all Site and Event content, including text, images, videos, maps, itineraries, and guides.
3. Eligibility & Use of Site
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to register, unless you have written parental or guardian consent.
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and not to disrupt, damage, or interfere with its normal operation.
We may suspend or restrict access to the Site or refuse registration at any time if you violate these Terms or act in a manner deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
4. Registration & Participation
Registration is subject to Event availability, Runseek’s acceptance, and payment of the Participation Fee.
You agree to provide complete, accurate, and current information during registration.
Each Event may have additional Event-Specific Terms (e.g., itinerary, eligibility, travel documentation, or physical requirements). You must review and comply with those as a condition of participation.
Runseek reserves the right to deny participation if you fail to meet Event requirements or fail to complete mandatory waivers, health questionnaires, or documentation.
5. Personal Responsibility
By joining a Runseek trip, you acknowledge that trail running and adventure travel involve inherent risks. You agree to act responsibly, follow the guidance of event staff, and respect local communities and natural environments.
6. Itinerary & Schedule Changes
Runseek may modify Event details (including itinerary, accommodations, routes, distance, activities, and schedules) due to weather, local conditions, safety considerations, operational constraints, or other circumstances. The Event Director and local guides may adjust, substitute, reschedule, or cancel any activity as needed.
Where feasible, Runseek may offer alternative options; however, alternative “Plan B” activities may not be available, especially in remote areas or during tightly scheduled travel days.
The Event Director’s decisions regarding itinerary changes, participation, and safety are final.
7. Activity Participation & Opt-Outs
Participation in scheduled runs and activities is voluntary. If you choose to opt out of any run, excursion, or activity, or if you are unable to participate, no refund or partial credit will be provided for any unused portion of the itinerary or missed activities.
For participant-initiated cancellations before the Departure Date, any applicable credit is governed exclusively by Section 10.2 (Participant Cancellations).
8. Participant Requirements & Minimum Fitness Standard
All participants must be in good physical and mental condition and capable of completing the activities outlined in the applicable Event itinerary, which may include varied terrain and diverse weather conditions.
Participants must be able to move with purpose on trails and maintain a minimum average pace of 10:00 minutes per kilometer (approximately 16:06 per mile) during scheduled runs.
The Event Director may restrict, modify, or discontinue a participant’s involvement in any activity if continued participation could endanger the participant or the group, or if the participant is unable to safely meet the requirements of the activity. The Director may recommend an alternative, shortened, or modified route where feasible.
9. Health & Medical Preparation
You are responsible for ensuring you are medically fit to participate. You must fully disclose relevant medical conditions, allergies, and medications to Runseek prior to travel. Failure to provide complete and accurate information may increase risk and is assumed at your own liability.
You are responsible for bringing, managing, and administering your own prescribed medications and personal medical supplies. While Runseek staff may be trained in wilderness medicine and carry a general first-aid kit, such support is for emergency use only and does not replace personal medical care or prescribed treatment.
Runseek may, in its sole discretion, restrict or remove a participant from any Event or activity if participation is deemed unsafe or inappropriate due to fitness levels or medical concerns, failure to disclose relevant information, or inability to safely participate.
Runseek assumes no responsibility for complications arising from undisclosed conditions, failure to carry necessary medications, or improper use of personal medical supplies.
10. Fees, Payments, Refunds & Cancellations
Event pricing, inclusions, exclusions, and payment terms are specified in the Event registration materials.
10.1 Payments
Payment of the full Participation Fee (or a stated deposit, if offered) is required to confirm your registration. If you fail to make payment in accordance with the payment terms provided in the Event registration materials, Runseek may cancel your registration at its discretion.
Except as expressly stated in Section 10.3 (Runseek Cancellations/Material Modifications), all payments made, including deposits and partial payments, are non-refundable.
10.2 Participant Cancellations, Transfers, Deferrals & Partial Participation
A) Cancellations before the Departure Date
If you voluntarily cancel your registration before the Departure Date, you may be eligible for a credit toward a future Runseek Adventure as set out in the Cancellation Credit Schedule below. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@runseekadventures.com and are effective only upon Runseek’s written confirmation of receipt.
B) Transfers and deferrals
You may request (i) a transfer of your registration to another person, or (ii) a deferral to a future Event, subject to Runseek’s approval and any applicable administrative fee.
C) Partial participation / early departure / skipping activities
If you choose to skip part of the Event, miss activities, depart early, or are a no-show, no partial refunds or credits will be issued for any unused portion of the trip, missed activities, excursions, runs, or no-shows.

10.3 Runseek Changes, Cancellations & Force Majeure
Runseek reserves the right to change Event details, including itinerary, accommodation, distance, or schedule, or to cancel an Event for any reason, including safety concerns, operational issues, insufficient enrollment, or force majeure events. Force majeure includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, severe weather, government restrictions, pandemics, civil unrest, or other conditions that make the Event unsafe or impossible to operate.
If Runseek cancels or materially modifies an Event, Runseek will offer one or more of the following remedies, depending on timing and circumstances: (i) transfer to a rescheduled date; (ii) credit toward a future Runseek trip; (iii) alternative trip options; and (iv) in select cases, a partial or full refund.
For force majeure cancellations, refunds may be limited or unavailable; however, Runseek will make reasonable efforts to provide a credit toward a future Event. Runseek is not responsible for incidental, consequential, or non-refundable third-party costs (including flights, lodging, visas, insurance, or other personal arrangements).
11. Dietary Requirements
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary needs and allergies, but options may be
limited in certain destinations or remote locations.
Please communicate dietary requirements well in advance. We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
12. Rooming Arrangements
Participants selecting a shared twin room will be paired with another participant of the same gender, and when possible, similar age range.
We will do our best to ensure comfortable and compatible pairings; however, personal compatibility cannot be guaranteed, and room changes may not be possible once the trip begins.
13. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
You understand that participation in an Event involves inherent risks, including physical exertion, changing weather, travel, and third-party services.
You certify that you are physically fit and free from medical conditions that would prevent safe participation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Runseek, its officers, employees, contractors, sponsors, agents, volunteers, and affiliates (“Released Parties”) from any liability for injury, illness, loss, damage, or death arising from or connected with your participation in an Event or related travel, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
14. Health, Safety & Conduct
You agree to follow all Event rules, local regulations, and directions from Runseek staff or guides.
Runseek may restrict or remove a participant for safety, medical, fitness, or conduct reasons as described in Sections 8–9 and this Section 14.
Travel insurance with medical evacuation and trip-cancellation coverage is strongly recommended and may be required for certain Events.
15. Travel, Accommodation & Third-Party Services
Some Events include lodging, meals, or ground transport. These inclusions are listed in Event materials.
Unless stated otherwise, flights, visas, insurance, and personal expenses are your responsibility.
Runseek may coordinate with third-party providers but does not control or guarantee their services and is not liable for their acts or omissions.
16. Intellectual Property
All Site and Event Materials are owned by or licensed to Runseek and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
You may use Materials only for personal, non-commercial purposes related to your participation.
17. User Content
If you share photos, videos, testimonials, or other content (“User Content”), you grant Runseek a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use and publish that content for promotional and operational purposes in any media.
You represent that you own or control the rights to the User Content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
18. Privacy
Your personal data will be collected and processed according to Runseek’s Privacy Policy.
By registering, you consent to such collection and use for Event administration, safety, and communication purposes.
19. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute or claim arising from or relating to these Terms or an Event shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
20. Severability & Waiver
If any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
Runseek’s failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with Event-specific terms and Runseek’s Privacy Policy, represent the complete agreement between you and Runseek regarding your participation.
