HIGHLIGHTS
It exceeded my expectations for being on a planned and guided trip. It was extremely well organized and I really appreciated the emphasis on local partners and supporting local businesses. I like to travel to experience other cultures, not just be around more Americans and I was really impressed by how the team worked together, how streamlined the runs were and getting an activity in every day along with getting to learn about Costa Rica from local guides. I'm definitely more inclined now to do another trip and recommend it to others.

Cartago Province, Costa Rica
Irazú National Park
Let’s get started with a unique forest run! We’ll eat breakfast at the hotel and then drive to our race location, the regenerating forests at the base of Prussia volcano! This volcano isn’t known for eruptions; instead, it’s known for being the highest point in Irazú National Park. Our run will take place in the forest at the volcano's baseIf you need a pick-me-up before the run, we’ll have some fresh fruit at the start line.
After the run, enjoy a picnic lunch and then we travel to another tall volcano in Costa Rica. We’re visiting Volcan Irazú National Park, home to the tallest volcano in the country. Laguna Hule
Rise and shine! Our last day takes us to Laguna Hule for a morning run. The name of this inland lake translates to “Lake of Rubber” because of the abundant rubber trees that surround it. The lake formed from an old volcanic crater that eventually filled with water.
Round out the trip with a final adventure in the rainforest! We’re visiting La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park, known for five stunning tropical waterfalls and flourishing wildlife. The keystone waterfall, La Paz Waterfall, is considered the most picturesque waterfall in all of Costa Rica. The park also has incredible butterfly and hummingbird gardens. Finally, we close out the evening with a farewell dinner, great stories, and plenty of laughter!
