EVENT
HIGHLIGHTS
"Non-serious runners or to those who have never participated in a "race" - don't be dissuaded by the name! While you should be in decent shape to attend one of these trips, the daily events are great as walks/hikes/trots, devoid of any pressure or element of competition. The team provides wonderfully organized opportunities to see very unique parts of the world that aren't so structured as to be stifling. The local guides and event directors are awesome, and you'll make a bunch of new friends along the way. Five stars all around!"

Traditional Music & Dance
Folklore: reflects the rugged beauty and cultural fusion of the region. In rural festivals and gatherings, you might hear the haunting melodies of the guitarra criolla, paired with bombo legüero drums and the heartfelt vocals of Patagonian folk songs.
Dances like the cueca (Chile’s national dance) and zamba (from Argentina) tell stories of courtship, endurance, and pride. These traditions are often kept alive in small-town celebrations, where locals dress in ponchos and boots, sharing mate and empanadas.

Cultural Roots
Argentina and Chile’s cultures are deeply shaped by Indigenous traditions, European immigration, and the rugged landscapes of the Andes and Pampas. In Argentina, Gaucho culture remains a powerful symbol of national identity—rooted in horseback skills, open-range living, and folkloric music that echoes across the plains.
In Chile, Mapuche heritage and the spirit of Patagonia influence everything from cuisine to storytelling. Both countries share a deep connection to the land, whether through Argentine asado traditions or Chile’s mountain-bound rituals and coastal fishing communities.
